Muffin Break Redditch has won the ‘No Barriers Access Award 2016’ in recognition of its excellent service to customers with disabilities.

The award was presented by Disability Action Redditch to recognise those companies or organisations that go the extra mile to help make everyday life better for people with disabilities, beyond what is expected of them. The award is specifically judged on outstanding customer friendliness, accessibility and employment opportunities. Muffin Break Redditch was nominated by customers who felt that the store surpassed these criteria to deliver great service for all who enjoy coming to the café bakery.

The awards ceremony took place on 18thMarch 2016 and was presented by Karen Lamley, MP for Redditch, and the Mayer of Redditch, Cllr. Pattie Hill. The guest speaker at the event was Winston Davis, former International West Indian Cricketer, who was left disabled after suffering a spinal injury. The awards are in partnership with Redditch Council and the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.
